Logan House
Logan House is situated in the southwest corner of beautiful Hunting Park with easy access to Philadelphia's Center City. The traditional two story late Georgian structure was owned by a descendant of James Logan, William Penn’s secretary. During the first half of the nineteenth century, James Hart operated an inn at the site until the entirety of Hunting Park was acquired by the City of Philadelphia in 1854. Throughout most of the twentieth century Logan House served as a Fairmount Park Guard and Police Station.
Recent exterior improvements by the Fairmount Park Commission and the Trust include a new roof, windows, shutters and masonry restoration. The interior features a floor plan that is suitable for offices, meeting space and a possible caretaker apartment. A large first floor drawing room offers space for meetings and events. This house is a “must see” and definitely worth considering as a location for your office!
